DEF CON was at the AP for years. Talk to anyone who went and they'll tell you fond memories and crazy stories. Now DEF CON has outgrown the AP, and the vibe has changed. We're hoping to let the new people understand some of the awesomeness of DEF CON past, and to let the old timers relive some great memories. This is a totally open party, no invites needed, no RSVPing, no VIP list, none of that elitest crap. Come by, bring booze, hang out, swim, make friends, and if you're an asshat we have tar and feathers and we can probably find a rail for ya. We're not "officially" renting out he hotel or anything, we're just a group of people who all happen to have rooms near POOL 3, and happen to like to drink all night by the pool. There will be plenty of free booze, music, people, swimming, maybe some bleeding, and at least one hot chick (guaranteed born a girl). Who: Everyone can come, there's no invite, just get a room for convenience and come party with us! What to bring: No one is "sponsoring" the party, so please stop by the liquor store and grab a bottle or ten of whatever you like to drink. If everyone brings a bit extra, we'll have tons of booze all the time, and it's not like you're paying bar prices. There's also a bar at the hotel! What to expect: Lots of drunken behavior! Meet new people and get DEF CON started right! What to tell the hotel: Just ask for a room near Pool 3, it's the farthest from the road, so it's "quieter". GET A ROOM!
Not only does it make it *much* harder for them to kick you out since you're a paying guest, it also shows our support of the hotel not fucking with us. We want to give them lots of money in rooms so that they'll want us back. It's also super cheap, and totally worth it.
